Dear healthcare providers, It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to attend the 2018 KFSH&RC- Jeddah Pharmaceutical Conference titled Integrating Medication Therapy Management into Pharmacy Practice which will be held during October 11-13, 2018 at Hilton Hotel Jeddah, SA. The conference will provide a valuable and unique opportunity to meet and interact with pioneers in Medication Therapy Management (MTM). Attending this conference will allow you to be involved in many active discussions and interactive sessions with our experienced local and international speakers. They will share with you the process of implementing the MTM service step by step and will provide you with all the knowledge and skills needed to success in managing ambulatory care patients.
This conference will be held in Hilton Hotel by the new Water Front in the second largest city in Saudi Arabia, Jeddah. It locates in the Hijaz region by the Red Sea coast and is one of the major urban centers of western Saudi Arabia. It is the largest city in Makkah Province, the largest seaport on the Red Sea, and with a population of about four million people (as of 2017). Jeddah is the principal gateway to Mecca and Medina, two of the holiest cities in Islam and popular tourist attractions. Economically, Jeddah is focusing on further developing capital investment in scientific and engineering leadership within Saudi Arabia, and the Middle East.

The pharmaceutical care division at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center- Jeddah branch (KFSHRC-J) in collaboration with American Pharmacists Association (APhA) is happy to announce the opening for registration for an accredited certification by Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) in Delivering Medication Therapy Management Services.
Attending this course will qualify you to advance public health and patient care through improved medication use, provide training to enhance pharmacists’ ability to effectively provide MTM services, and communicate benchmark practices for providing MTM services.
For the first time in Saudi Arabia, pharmacists will have the opportunity to have hands on training in improving medication use through the delivery of MTM services in a variety of practice setting.

This certification is a combination of prerequisite online self- study learning, full day attendance of certification course and a final online exam:
1. Prerequisite online self- study learning to be completed before the live seminar day. When registering for MTM certificate, attendee will receive a code to access this part online. This is a 4-modules, usually takes up to 3 weeks to complete. Successful completion of the self-study component involves passing the self-study assessment with a grade of 70% or higher.
2. Live seminar will be on the last day of the conference after completing the prerequisite part. 3. Post seminar final online exam: successful completion of the post seminar online exam-case
exercise component will grant the participants an online attestation statement of completion.

The poster display is going to play an important role in our conference, and will be a great opportunity to network and communicate with other Healthcare professionals from the region.
Poster topics can be related to patient’s health care including clinical and experimental pharmaceutical research.
