Instructions for Building a Promotional Image

• Choose a background (slides 3-5)• Choose the logo you wish to use (slides 6-7). Copy and paste it

onto your chosen background. • Choose a photo of the guest speaker and/or hosts (slide 8). Copy

and paste it onto your chosen background. – If you choose to use a photo that is not provided, make sure to crop it

appropriately and frame it neatly. You may also angle it or overlap it so that it hangs off the side of the marquee to add interest. To turn a color photo into a black & white photo: select the image, choose “Format picture” and then choose “recolor”.

• Complete the meeting detail information in the formatted text boxes (slide 9). Copy and paste these into your chosen background.– You may change the font color of the meeting details in order to accommodate the slide

background color you have chosen.

Instructions for Building a Promotional Image

• Layout all of these components onto your background until you are happy with the format (see sample slides 10-12)

• Now save your slide as an image by choosing “File” then “Save as picture”. Select the format (.jpg or .png), select where you want to save the file and give it a name. – By default, this saves the entire presentation in the file format

chosen. So, to save only the single slide that you have created for the promotion click “Options” and select “Save current slide only”

• You now have a jpg image which can be posted in Facebook to promote your meeting!
