2. Cutting SheetsArrangethesheetslooselyontheroof,andmarkholepositionsandanynecessarysawcutswithafelttippen.

Sheetsshouldoverhangtheroofby60mmtoallowrainfalltorun-offintothegutterandshouldbewideenoughtocover the barge board at the side.

Ifcuttingisrequireduseananglegrinderwithametalslittingbladeorfinetoothsawatashallowanglewithlightpressure.Supportthesheettominimisevibrations.

Agoodtipwhencutting,istosandwichthesheetbetweenothersheetswiththeparttoberemovedprotruding.

Ifasheethastobecuttoafinishedwidth,makethecutintheslopeofthecorrugatedsheet.Avoiddrillingandcuttingsheetsinverycoldweather.Warmsheetswillbelesspronetodamage.

3. Drilling SheetsPre-drillsheetsbeforefixing.Pleasenote-holesforfixingsmustdrilledlargerthanthefixingtoallowforexpansion.Typically10mmfora3msheet.

Drillsheetssinglywithamasonrybit,usingalowspeeddrillandlightpressure.Supportthesheetsecurelyundereachholepositionwhendrilling. Thereshouldbeatleast5fixingspersupportacrossthe width of the sheet.

4. FlashingMarvecCSwallflashingtomatchthesheetcorrugationisinstalledatthetopoftheslope.TheWallFlashingisfixedfirmlyintopositionwithButylwallflashingtapetoformawatertightsealbetweenthesheetandthewall.

Checklist• MarvecCScanbeusedintemperatureconditionsfrom-20°Cto+60°C.Installationandhandling

shouldbecarriedoutattemperaturesabove+5°C• Anypaintsorpreservativesappliedtothesupportsmustbethoroughlydrypriortofixingthesheet

to avoid the sheets from becoming damaged. • Itisrecommendedthatanysurfacesofsupportsimmediatelyunderthesheetislightincolourorwhite.• Falseceilings,insulationoranyotheropaquematerialmustnotbeplacedunderthefixedMarvecCS

sheets,asthetemperatureinthegapbetweentheseandthesheetcouldrisetoover60°C,andthiscouldleadtodistortionordiscolouration.

• Cleaning-Usewarmsoapywaterandasoftclothorspongetocleanyourroof.• Storagebeforeuse:Storageindoorsonaflatdrysurfaceincoolsurroundingsispreferable.When

outdoorstorageisunavoidable,storeflatonwoodenbearersspacedatabout1m(3’3”)centresandcovercompletelywithanopaquelightcolouredtarpaulin.Stackedsheetsleftuncoveredindirectsunlightwilldistortduetosolarheatgaininthestack.

5. FixingStartfixingsheets. FoamFillersareusedunderthesheetsatallsupportpositionstopreventroof‘chatter’andtosupportthesheetswhenfixed.

Usescrews,capsandwasherstosecurethesheet:thescrewissufficientlytightwhenthewasherunderitsheadcanjustberotatedwithfingerandthumb.

6. Joining Sheets (end to end)Ifsheetsneedtobejoinedendtoend,ensureanoverlapofatleast150mmfora10°slopeor300mmfora5°slope.

UseastripofButylSealingTapetopreventdustanddirtgettingbetweenthesheets.
