INDUSTRY INSIGHT ACTIVITYSUPPORTING TECHNICAL TEACHERS TO PREPARE FOR T LEVEL DELIVERY THROUGH INDUSTRY INSIGHT ACTIVITY

• Gain insight from leading employers to enhance your understanding of the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by future employees

• Understand how to enrich curriculum design and teaching strategies to equip learners for Industry Placements, successful T Level qualification and to secure the skills and behaviours for future employment

• Create opportunities for genuine two-way street working between providers and employers to ensure a shared understanding of T Levels and the implications for teaching, learning and assessment.

EMPLOYER-LED: PRACTICE, DEVELOPMENT, ADVICE AND GUIDANCE WORKSHOPS, AND WORK PLACEMENTS

• An opportunity to share and learn from participants engaging with Industry Insight placements

• Understand how to create a blended learning approach to T Levels

• Further develop occupational knowledge together with pedagogical skill to help teachers deliver high-quality learning experiences.

PRACTICE SHARING AND DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

Involves:

• Observing industry colleagues in their day-to-day roles

• Gaining an understanding of the workplace and possible progression route opportunities

• Developing a better understanding of how to support the learner within the classroom, providing a clear line of sight to work.

WORK SHADOW 0.5-1 DAY

Involves:

• Observations and interactions within the work environment that apply to the sector and pathway role

• An opportunity to experience working in a specific role within a company to gain a clearer understanding of the knowledge, skills and behaviours required by employees.

WORK PLACEMENT 1-2 DAYS

Designed to:

• Immerse the teacher within the organisation to gain a better understanding of current industry practice and the requirements of specific roles

• Offer a unique opportunity to obtain practical experience

• Support individuals to work collaboratively with employers to address co-curriculum design and planning in preparation for T Level delivery.

STAFF PLACEMENT IN INDUSTRY 3-10 DAYS

REMISSION COST FOR STAFF PLACEMENTS:• £400 per day• £200 per half day
