Abstract

This matrix identifies the compatible IBM® System Storage™ N series

hardware and provides links to the publications for the currently supported

releases of Data ONTAP®. Instructions for obtaining software upgrades for

Data ONTAP are included in this document.

Content

Use the following information to determine the Data ONTAP release to be used

with your N series hardware.

ONTAP

Instructions for obtaining Data ONTAP

Data ONTAP upgrades are available for installation using the "Software

Packages ...." link displayed with the Download task selected on the Support

(Portal) page of the N series support website. Refer to the important

information for N series support to find instructions that explain how to use the

IBM Support Portal to access software packages for new and upgraded

firmware, software, and host connectivity utilities as part of the complete

instructions for registration and customer entitlement. Refer to the Data

ONTAP Release Model to understand the types of releases available and how

to select the appropriate Data ONTAP release for your storage system

environment.

After a customer has completed the registration process and provided the Web

Access Keys on the N series and related Host Software Downloads - Signup

page for the individual machines they own, all new and upgraded firmware,

software, and host connectivity utilities for these machines will be visible.
