Step 1 — Battery

Pry open the back panel by insertingthe plastic opening tool on the left ofthe camera. We find this spot theeasiest to get the tool under thepanel.

Once you get an open spot, with asecond plastic opening tool, slidedown to the bottom of the phone tofree the rest of side.

There is adhesive between thebattery and the back panel. Take anylon spudger to cut through theadhesive.

Be sure to use the correct tool forthe job. Metal spudgers canpuncture an unprotected battery,potentially causing a fire.

Once all way around the bottom, thepanel should be broken free of theadhesive, and the rest of the panelshould pop right off.

Insert a nylon spudger at the bottomof the battery and lift up to removethe battery.

Be sure to use the correct tool forthe job. Metal spudgers canpuncture an unprotected battery,potentially causing a fire.

Carefully lift battery backside first todisconnect the white connector.
