Robust and effective classroom discussions are essential for providing students with opportunities to simultaneously engage in science practices while learning key science content. This session will provide teachers with a roadmap of strategies to use before and during whole-class discussions to more effectively orchestrate dialogue responsive to students’ science thinking, core practices and ideas.
