How To Make: Vintage Copper Pendant

Materials: 1.75 inches of 20 gauge copper wire x 2, 2.15 inches of 20 gauge copper wire x 1, around 21 inches of 28 gauge wirecut into 7 even parts, 2 jade beads – size 4 mm, 1 oval bead – size 10 mm x 7 mm

Tools: Round Nose Pliers, Wire Cutter

Step 1: Cut all wires as indicated. Take one part of 1.75 “ wire and create small swirl at the end of the wire. Then createanother swirl at the second end. Repeat this step to create second identical element.

Step 2: Take 2.15 “ wire and create 3 small loops as shown in the photos

Step 3: Connect all elements in 3 points using thin wire, just wrap both elements together, then trim wire which is left. I use around 3” of wire to connect each part (so you will need around 9” for this step).

It’s important to check if beads you’ve chosen fit the shape of the pendant

Step 4: Take 2 parts of thin wire (around 3” each) and wrap them around the base as shown in the photo, then put an oval bead on both wiresand again wrap thin wire around the base. Trim wire which is left and smooth edges

Step 5: Now you have to attach small bead to the pendant. Wrap one part of thin wire around the base, then insert the bead and wrap the second end around the base. Trim the wire and smooth the edges

Step 6: Repeat step 5 with third bead. Attach bead at the bottom of the pendant

Step 7: You have to bend the top loop perpendicularly to the pendant to be able to hang it on the chain. (It can be tricky so you cando it also in the beginning of creating, or just add jump ring to the top loop). Now add chain to your pendant. Your necklace is readyto wear!
