How to create

awesome

blog content

using SEMRUSH

Content is the backbone of any blog,

don’t you agree?

With all the search engine

algo changes, the definition of

“awesome content”

has changed

Nowadays you need to please

BOTH

people and search engines

The following two things should go hand in hand

Content that people find useful and

noteworthy to talk about Content that can be easily ranked

Today’s SEO has to connect

these two ends

The tool I am going to use for illustration is

Semrush

Click it to go to semrush.com

Semrush has the ability

to give you the KEYWORDS

that you and/or your competitors are

ranking for

Open up semrush.com and type any keyword to get

Phrase match report

Related keywords report

Organic results for that keyword

Ads that use that particular keyword

(and their exact ad copies – which is really cool)

Ads history for that keyword

The key here is to find highly searched

yet easy to rank keywords

How to create

awesome content using

Semrush?

Go for a win-win situation

Find keywords that are

searched by a decent number of people +

not very competitive

Awesome

blog content =

Useful content

Content that can be

easily found

+

Useful

content

Content that

a reasonable

sized group

of people

want

Content that

is searched

by a decent

number of

people

= =

Content that can be

easily found

Content that is not

very competitive =

Wait,

there’s STILL something missing!

When I talk about

keyword research,

competition,

searches

etc.

you picture me wearing my SEO hat

Click it

SEO is good

but NOT the kind of SEO

many bloggers think of!

SEO doesn’t mean finding keywords

and

filling your post with it

you need to please

BOTH

people and search engines

Related keywords feature of Semrush

helps you do that!

With related keywords

I get brilliant ideas to expand my post

Instead of optimizing my post for one

keyword I’d use related

keywords throughout
