TO AGREE A STATEMENT.
Nageswar Rao. A Teacher of English.
‘She is a good girl.’
‘Of course, she is.’
‘She looks upset.’
‘Yes, she does.’
‘That apples isn’t ripe.’
‘No, it isn’t.’
‘He can’t help stealing.’
‘No, he can’t.’
To day through this lesson we learnt how to agree to a positive and negative statement.
Study the structure we used in both the situations.
Agreements with affirmative statements are made: Yes / Of course + pronoun + auxiliary.
Agreements with negative statements are made: No + pronoun + auxiliary + n’t/not.
