It is located near the front of the engine and driven by crankshaft……

Warning signs of Alternator Problem……

o If the charging system fails, the car can run in battery for hours…but if the alternator depletes then the vehicle will stall and not even start….

When alternator doesn’t work ,the electric accessories start showing the symptom, as like the headlight starts dimming ….

Alternator is connected through large cables and wires, so if any

problems happen in wire and cables connection means either it will

stop or reduce electricity from reaching the battery…

The other symptom of lose connection Belt find missing Belt hanging off the engine block Belt flopping around the engine etc…

Lose connection also produce noise like growling or whining

……

It also elicits rubber burning or hot wire burning smell from

lose connection….

Use A Voltmeter…..

Used to measure the electrical output of alternator …

The voltage reading should be 14volts if the vehicle accessories are off and 12 volts if turned on…….

If anytime the voltage drops below 12 then there is a problem

in alternator…

If the battery terminals are full of dirt or grim then electricity won’t

flow correctly…
