Korea is among the major trendsetters of cosmetics
and skincare products. It has been appointed as the
“Country of Honour” at this year’s Cosmoprof Asia in
celebration of the long-term cooperation between the
country and the show. With the support of Korean
Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), a
total of 549 Korean companies (17% increase
compared to last year) were there to showcase the best
of Korean innovation, research and creativity – all which
are the secret of the success of K-Beauty. There were
also 13 Korean pavilions featuring all product sectors
in both exhibition venues, AWE and HKCEC.

The highly successful, fourth edition of Boutique
returned to Cosmoprof Asia giving visitors the
chance to shop for charity. Visitors could pick up

The INTERNATIONAL BUYER
PROGRAMME (11th edition), a key
component of the trade programme designed
to give exhibitors and high-profile visitors the
opportunity to meet and engage in pre-
scheduled one-on-one meetings. In 2017,
around 730 one-to-one meetings took place
during the fair between 495 exhibitors and
130 buyers from 20 countries spanning
across Asia, Americas, Europe, Oceania and
Africa.
