ProblemDoes honey works as an antiseptic against bacterial skin infections?
HypothesisHoney works as a natural antiseptic against bacterial skin infections.
Procedure
• Extract honey straight from a beehive from the agro-ecological farm La Abeja in Orocovis, Puerto Rico.
Procedure• Grow banal bacteria like, E. coli, Bacillus and Staphylococcus,
in different Petri dishes. Grow two of each bacteria.• Apply honey to one of each bacteria, not to se second one so
we can see the honey effect.• Observe for two or three days and take notes of changes.• Analyze the results and reach a conclusion.
Justification
• Artificial products have side effects. • A natural product should be safer than an artificial
one.• They can be used for people with sensitive skin who
are intolerant to antiseptics.
