The above images are taken from a competition entry made by Foster + Partners/URS Group. URS Group and foster + Partners collaborated on the design of the museum of African American History and culture showing the journey through time and hardship in the kinetic design of the museum. I chose to use this design as precedents because of its circular shape and overhangs of different heights. Although he museum is a very large building and Hoot is not looking for such a grand scheme, the circular shapes also relates well to the triangular site and as our site is also a triangle it is perfect precedents. I also like the way they use a green roof with sloping panels. the panels are nicely patterned.
