Statement of Purpose• The purpose of the Alumni Association of the H. John Heinz III School of
Public Policy and Management – Carnegie Mellon University (Heinz School Alumni Association) is to promote the interests of the H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management of Carnegie Mellon University (the Heinz School) and its alumni as herein defined.
• The Heinz School Alumni Association has as its primary objectives:– The promotion of communication among its members and between its
membership and the Heinz School;– The provision of financial support for the Heinz School;– The promotion of employment and internship opportunities for alumni and
students of the Heinz School;– The provision of feedback from alumni to the Heinz School regarding the
policies and programs of the school;– The preservation and promotion of the Heinz School’s legacy of diversity;– The promotion of the name and programs of the Heinz School

Nominating Committee
• AAB nominates 14 members for web ballot for May election
April• Nominations
close 30 days from the date that the nomination form is received
May• Elections
are held with 14 AAB candidates for the election
June• Ballots must
be submitted with 30 days of the election start date
• 7 candidates are chosen by the alumni as AAB members
Fall• New AAB
members begin terms at the AAB Fall Meeting held in either October or November.

Nomination and Election of PresidentOdd- Numbered Years
AAB Fall Meeting• Members of the Executive
Board (Officers and Committee Chairs) will solicit nominations from among themselves for a President-Elect.
AAB Spring Meeting • Members will select from
the nominees a President-Elect (by a majority vote of those present).
• The President-Elect will become the new President upon the completion of the term of the current President.
