Most common pre-requisites are Sec IV SN Math, Sec IV Environmental Science, Sec V SN Math, Physics, Chemistry

You cannot apply to a program if you are missing any of the pre-requisite courses**

A cut off average is a minimum average required to be considered for a program

Data is based on previous year

You will be compared to the 2019-2020 applicant cohort

THE APPLICATION DEADLINE

YOUR APPLICATION MUST BE RECEIVED BY

THE CEGEP BY MARCH 1ST• This includes payment and all necessary documentation.

• Champlain, Dawson and Marianopolis require that you upload or send by email a copy of your Birth Certificate or proof of citizenship or legal status; not Vanier.

• Some programs ask that you submit a Letter of Intent or Portfolio.

VERY Importantly: Check your program requirements.

TIPS TO HELP YOU BEGINHOW TO PRPEPATE AND IMPORTANT THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND

BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING ON-HAND:

1. Your QPC (Quebec Permanent Code)

2. A credit card

3. You may be asked for your SIN (Social Insurance Number)

4. Do a practice run = simulation application

IMPORTANT TO CONSIDER

• Your Second Choice program should be easier to get into, not harder.

• Three (3) year Technical Programs accept about 40 students a year & only in the Fall session not the Winter session. Avoid making these programs your 2nd choice or “fall back” options.

• On the Dawson, Champlain, and Marianopolis: applications you are obliged to give your 1st and 2nd choice right away. No other application “rounds” will be available to you if you are not accepted.

• When applying to Dawson, Champlain or Marianopolis, you must UPLOAD or EMAIL a photocopy of your Birth Certificate. For the SRAM CEGEPs, if you are born in Quebec, they receive your Birth Certificate automatically.

IMPORTANT TO CONSIDER

• Both marks are considered by the CEGEP. An average is taken.

• Applications open in January 2020 and are NOT first come first serve.

• APPLY TO MULTIPLE CEGEPS!

• Don’t forget that Acceptance is CONDITONAL—Term 3 counts, so do not slack off!

LASTLY ...

•Print a copy of your application/take a screen shot.•Take note of your transaction number and write it down.• Indicate your transaction number on any documents that

you send by email OR mail.•You should have an answer between mid-March to April

(depending on the CEGEP and/or program you applied to).

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

• CEGEPs usually begin responding mid-March/beginning of April

• You will have to either accept online or email themyour confirmation of acceptance.

• For SRAM, you can apply for Round 2 if you were not accepted during first round.

• RESPECT THE DEADLINE!
