A heat rate is a factor that converts monthlynatural gas prices to power prices, and it is typically expressed as “(HR x NG) + A” whereHR is the contracted heat rate, NG is the locked natural gas price(s), and A is the adderinclusive of the other ancillary and related costs.

With both long- and short-term volatility risk, this product isappropriate for larger customers with greater risk tolerance.
