Health professionals and services:

A general practitioner

A medical specialist. Is a doctor who treats specific

illnesses or parts of the body.

Hospital: people ussually go to hospital if they

have a medical emergency.

Infectious diseases

are illnesses that

are caused by

microorganisms.

Non-infectious

diseases aren’t

caused by

microorganisms.

Bacteria, viruses, protozoans and

fungi are a common

microorganisms. Some of them

are anot harmful to humans, but

others can cause infectious

diseases.

Aren’t caused by microorganism.

They include illnnesses like

allergies, obesity, malnutrition, subt

ance abuse and mental illness.

Can cause diseases like

tuberculosis, tetanus or

salmonellosis.Treat some

bacterial infections with

medicines called

antibiotic.

Viruses are harmful to human beings like

flu, measles, and AIDS.

Fungi cause diseases of the skin, hair and

nails (or antimycotic) medicines.

By personal contact.

By contact with contamined objects.

By animal carries.

By consumption of contamined water.

Wash your hands.

Brush your teeth.

Clean cuts.

Keep your pets healthy.

Wahs raw fruits and vegetables.

Don’t walk

barefoot.

A vaccine is a substance that contains

weak or dead microorganisms, but they

help your body to resist the same

disease in the future.

Vaccination:in the vaccine can’t hurt

you, but your body produces special

substances called antibodies.In the

future, your body will produce the

same antibodies again to defend itself.

Follow road safety rules.

Try to accept and respect yourself and your body, express your feelings appropiately.
