interested in technology when he went to a science fair with his brother. He got a PH.D from

Stanford University. Then years later he invented the

microprocessor. It was about the size of a thumbnail. It allowed machines to think. It fit into

household appliances.

microprocessor was introduced. It was the size of a thumb nail. It was 108 MHz. It only cost

$45.00. The small chips fit into computers, cameras, calculators, etc. It allows computers to “think”. It held 5,000 transistors on it. He is 74

years old today.
