TheSRGcameraemploysa30×opticalzoomlenscombinedwithadigitalzoomfunction;thiscameraallowsyoutozoomupto360×.

DigitalZoomenlargesthecenterofthesubjectbyexpandingeachimageinboththeverticalandhorizontaldirections.Whenthedigitalzoomisused,theresolutiondeteriorates.
Youcanactivatethezoominthefollowingmodes,allofwhichcanbesetusingVISCAcommand.
StandardModeVariableModeThereareeightlevelsofzoomspeed.In these standard and variable modes, it is necessary to send Stop Command to stop the zoom operation.

Focus
Focushasthefollowingmodes,allofwhichcanbesetusingVISCACommands.
•AutoFocusMode TheAutoFocus(AF)functionautomaticallyadjusts
thefocuspositiontomaximisethehighfrequencycontentofthepictureinacentermeasurementarea,takingintoconsiderationthehighluminanceandstrongcontrastcomponents.
Theminimumfocusdistanceis10mmattheopticalwideendand1200mmattheopticalteleend.
-NormalAFModeThisisthenormalmodeforAFoperations.-IntervalAFModeThemodeusedforAFmovementscarriedoutatparticularintervals.ThetimeintervalsforAFmovementsandforthetimingofthestopscanbesetinone-secondincrementsusingtheSetTimeCommand.Theinitialvalueforbothissettofiveseconds.-ZoomTriggerModeWhenthezoomischanged,theAFmodeactivatesforthepre-settime.Then,itstops.Theinitialvalueissetto5seconds.
AFsensitivitycanbesettoeitherNormalorLow.-NormalReachesthehighestfocusspeedquickly.Usethiswhenshootingasubjectthatmovesfrequently.Usually,thisisthemostappropriatemode.-LowImprovesthestabilityofthefocus.Whenthelightinglevelislow,theAFfunctiondoesnottakeeffect,eventhoughthebrightnessvaries,contributingtoastableimage.

Wide Dynamic Range Mode (WD)
TheWideDynamicRangemodeisafunctionfordividinganimageintoseveralblocksandcorrectingblocked-upshadowsandblown-outhighlightsinaccordancewiththeintensitydifference.Itenablesyoutoobtainimagesinwhichportionsrangingfromdarktolightcanberecognized,evenwhencapturingasubjectwithalargeintensitydifferencethatisbacklitorincludesextremelylightportions.Imageswithwidedynamicrangeareproducedbycombininglong-exposuresignals(normalshutter)withthesignalsofthehigh-intensityportionsobtainedwithashortexposure(high-speedshutter).
