1. A multi-pronged approach is needed

2. Education about hate speech is critical

3. Creating awareness and discouraging hate and intolerance in society is needed

4. Prohibiting/criminalizing the most extreme and dangerous forms of hate speech is required

5. The government would need to address the lack of legislation

6. Major stakeholders that would need to work on the issue collectively

7. The media in particular would need to look at its role in the spread of hate speech

8. Need to develop better, closer relationships with online companies

9. Generate counter-speech, that addresses hate speech directly

10. Investment in data collection and research
