Self-taught painter, born in Sapucaia, Rio state, DAMIÃO MARTINS encouraging by his maternal grandmother, for whom he had great friendship, made a drawing technical course seeking a focused learning for the arts. Created his first Cubist painting in 1978 for an exhibition in the city of Paraíba do Sul, State of Rio. Today he lives for over 20 years in Marica, lakes region. Variations on the themes of his works can say that handwriting remains, the landscape is changing.
