Hallway Expectations

1. Walk on the right hand side of the hall.

2. Stay in your self space.

3. Walk quietly in a single-file line.

4. Stop at the Shamrock and wait for your teacher.

Walk on the right hand side of the hallway.

Why? We walk on the right hand side of the

hallway, so that others can safely pass. If we walked in the middle, we could run into other people or classes.

Stay in self space.

Why?

We stay in our self space when we are walking quietly in the hallway so we do not bump into other people. When we keep our hands and feet to ourselves, we can safely walk in the halls.

Walk quietly in a single-file line.

Why?We walk quietly in the hallways because students are learning in their classrooms. We can help students concentrate by being quiet in the hallways.

Stop at the shamrock stop signs and wait for your teacher.

STOP

Why?

We stop at the shamrocks when we are walking with our class to make sure we do not run into other groups coming down the hallway.

STOP

Let’s work together!

Students and teachers at Dublin Elementary School respect others and want to stay safe in the hallways! Let’s work together to respect ourselves, others and school property!
