Your arrival at Haddo House Upon entering the estate, the long, sweeping driveway leads you to the welcoming outstretched arms of Haddo House.
From the oak-panelled Entrance Hall, guests are guided up the grand staircase and along the elegant curved corridor to the principal rooms.

Your ceremony at Haddo House At Haddo House, your ceremony can be held in the Chapel, Library or Drawing Room.
Chapel Dating from 1881, the Chapel is available to all Christian denominations.
The traditional wooden pews, vibrant stained-glass windows and golden altar make this a very special place to hold your ceremony.
Listen out for the Chapel’s magnificent pipe organ welcoming guests to this exclusive venue.
Maximum Capacity: 110
Library A romantic alternative for your civil wedding ceremony, the Library retains its original 19th-century decor, including chandeliers, sweeping drapes and rich cedar and ebony bookcases.
Surrounded by family portraits and heirlooms, the Library offers an ambience which is both grand and homely.

Drawing Room Intimate yet impressive, the Drawing Room is ideal for smaller wedding ceremonies.

Ante, Drawing and Morning Rooms Bright and spacious, the interconnecting Ante, Drawing and Morning Rooms allow you to move seamlessly through the house, mingling with your guests.

Library Versatile and spacious, the Library offers the perfect dining experience. Enjoy your wedding meal in a room which has hosted royalty and dignitaries over the centuries.

Dining Room The Dining Room offers an elegant setting for rehearsal meals and intimate wedding dinners.

Your celebration in the grounds of Haddo House
Canadian Hall Just a short stroll from the main house stands the Canadian Hall, inspired by the 7th Earl of Aberdeen’s first trip to Canada in 1890.
The Canadian Hall is ideal for evening receptions, ceilidhs and dances for up to 250 guests or dining for up to 160 guests.
It has excellent acoustics and a sprung dance floor, so you can let your hair down and end the day with a party to remember!
The Canadian Hall also has a separate seated bar area where guests can enjoy quiet conversation during the celebrations.
Maximum Capacity: 250 (160 dining)
Marquees For larger weddings, marquees can be erected on the Lower Lawn, adjacent to the Canadian Hall.

Haddo House is 4 miles north of Pitmedden, 8 miles north-west of Ellon and 19 miles north of Aberdeen city centre and Aberdeen International Airport.
By car
Directions from Aberdeen city centre:Follow the A90 (signposted Fraserburgh and Peterhead). At the roundabout after Bridge of Don take the first exit onto the B999 (signposted Tarves). Drive through Pitmedden village. Follow signs for Haddo House, turning right just before Tarves village.
Directions from Aberdeen International Airport:Follow the A96 (signposted Inverness). Turn off the A96 into Inverurie; in the centre of Inverurie follow signs for Oldmeldrum (B9170). At the roundabout take the first left, following the Oldmeldrum bypass. At the third roundabout take the second exit (signposted Methlick). Turn right onto the B999 (signposted Tarves). Turn left, following signs for Haddo House.
By bus
Stagecoach Bluebird (Service 290/291/292) from Aberdeen bus station. The bus stops in Tarves, from where there is a 3-mile walk to Haddo House.
By train
The nearest railway station is Inverurie (12 miles)
