Make PredictionsJeremy’s Day at the Pool

Jeremy’s mom brought in the mail. “Jeremy, it looks like this card is for you,” she said.

Jeremy opened the card. It was an invitation. His friend Mario was having a pool party. Jeremy felt sad. He was scared of the water, but he wanted to go to the party. “Can you help me, Mom?” he asked.

“Sure,” she said. That afternoon, Jeremy and his mom went to the pool.

Jeremy had a new bathing suit on, which made him happy. He looked down at the deep end and wanted to go home. His mom said, “Let’s go to the shallow end instead.”

Jeremy walked down the stairs, holding onto the rail. He was scared, but he also thought the water felt good. His mom helped him kick and blow bubbles. He could do it!
