The person who welded this section left a hole (porosity) in their weld. I was brought in to fix it.

Using carbon-arc gouging rods, I “scarfed out” the weld around the porosity.

Here I used a grinder to clean up the rework site.

And the finished repair is shown to be porosity free with weld dimensions matching the previous weld.
