Guide to recycling plastics in YorkIn theory most plastics are recyclable at least once but it is more complicated in practice. There are 7 main types and different grades of plastic. The Resin Identification Code system can help you identify them – check the number in the triangle usually found on packaging. However, whether you can recycle particular items depends on your local council and their recycling merchants. Please do remember to clean the materials and that reducing plastic use is even better than recycling.
