This Addendum modifies the Drawings and Specifications issued in the Competitive Sealed Proposal Request of May 29, 2015, and upon execution of the Agreement, becomes part of the Contract Documents. Where any original item is amended, voided or superseded hereby, the provisions of such items not so specifically amended, voided or superseded shall remain in effect. Modifications are as follows: A. CLARIFICATIONS 1. Bidders list is included in this addendum. 2. Pre-Proposal Agenda, Sign-in Sheets and Meeting Notes from the Pre-Proposal meeting are included

7. Roof plan is correct – coping as detailed required at perimeters, no gravel stop. 8. Specification Section 08620 - Dome Skylights has been revised to include Wasco Products as an
approved manufacturer. 9. Specification Section 09840 – Acoustic Wall Panels has been revised to coordinate with finish
schedule. Acoustic wall panels are to be Knoll 3A Sterling Reflect W884/3A. The Section is re-issued with this Addendum.

Comments: The purpose of the meeting was to introduce and review the project with prospective bidders and suppliers. Item Discussion
001.01 Project Scope & Schedule a. Mr. Mouton introduced the project team to the attendees. All attendees were encouraged
to sign the sign-in sheets. b. The scope and schedule for the project were reviewed. c. Bidders were reminded that a Bid Bond will be required with their proposal and
Performance and Payment bonds will be required from the selected General Contractor. Proposals are due at 11:00 an, June 30th. Following evaluation of the proposals Aline ISD intends to issue a notice to proceed to the successful General Contractor following Board approval at the July Board meeting.
d. The Bidders history and reputation shall be part of the scoring criteria to ensure the project needs are met instead of the use of liquidated damages.
e. Aldine ISD stated the Final Completion of the project on June 17, 2016 means the project is complete and ready for use by AISD. This date is critical to AISD.

Project Management To achieve the completion goal AISD will require the successful General Contractor to: a. Maintain the project schedule by:
1. Providing sufficient labor including providing additional crews and/or other additional subcontractors.

2. Working extended hours. 3. Avoiding or minimizing weather delays by waiting an appropriate time to resume
work. 4. Develop and maintain a detailed construction schedule which includes precise
timelines for the delivery of material and coordination of the installation of permanent utilities. A three week look-ahead schedule shall be published during the course of construction for the approval of the AISD project manager. The contractor shall also provide a Daily Log of activities for the project manager.
b. AISD will require figure printing of General Contractor and subcontractors. Owner Expectations AISD expects the General Contractor to construction the project with no change orders (other than unforeseen conditions, if encountered). The plans and specifications for the project describe the intent of the project. The General Contractor shall provide and labor and material required to achieve this intent. Permits/Utilities a. Plans for the project are currently being reviewed by Harris County. b. Electrical service has been arranged with Centerpoint. Questions a. Can Alternate #1 numbers be after the bid to give more time for better numbers? No,
all numbers must be submitted as part of the total bid package and shall be opened at the same time.
b. Will a soils report be released? The soils report has been issued as part of Addendum 2. c. Are there liquidated damages? No. The contractor’s history and reputation shall be part
of the scoring criteria to ensure the project needs are met instead of the threat of liquidated damages.
d. What was the budget for the project submitted with the permit application? The budget for the budget indicated on the Harris County permit sheet is $11,000,000.
e. How can we be added to the pre-approved list of vendors? Submit a package including prior experience, references and similar projects for review.
f. Where can we find updated documents? All documents will be issued on the Aldine website. Other sites may not contain all documents or be up to date. It is the contractor’s responsibility to ensure they are using the latest documents. Failure to include all addenda may cause the bid to be deemed incomplete.
g. The appliances noted in construction documents are included in project, unless noted otherwise.
h. The Irrigation system is not included in the project.

General Conditions and Supplemental Conditions of the Contract (7). Contractor will certify that the contractor provides workman’s compensation
insurance coverage for each employee of the contractor employed on the project and contractor shall provide a certificate from each subcontractor certifying that the subcontractor provides workman’s compensation insurance coverage for each employee of the subcontractor employed on the project.
(8). Contractor agrees to a Proposal by all applicable rules and regulations including all requirements as set out in 28 TAC Rule 110.110 and any amendments thereto.
8. ULTIMATE CORPORATE OWNERSHIP A. In the specific document of this section, enter the address of the proposer's place of

9. BASE PRICE AMOUNT A. Total amount for the furnishing of all labor, materials, services, equipment and

B. Base Price Amount shall include an Owner’s contingency of $500,000. Owner’s contingency can only be used with prior approval from the owner or a designated representative.

10. ALTERNATE AND UNIT PRICE ITEMS A. The Contractor proposes the following sums as additions to or deductions from the
Base Price amount for alternates as more fully described in the Specifications and Addenda issued under Contract Documents. Failure to quote every item will cause the entire Proposal to be considered non-responsive. All Alternates must be priced. Alternates are not listed in the order of preference. 11. PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION DURATION A. The Contractor shall prepare and submit a construction schedule for the Project in
accordance with the requirements of the applicable Sections of Division 1 of the Contract Documents. No time extensions will be allowed under this contract due to late deliveries, or changes in the Work that do not affect the critical path schedule of the project. The Contractor may propose to complete the project earlier than the Owner’s Maximum Project Duration or Scheduled Date of Substantial Completion. SEE: DOCUMENT 00100 (DOCUMENT – PART 1A) BELOW

PROJECT COMPLETION NO-EXCUSE INCENTIVE BONUS
1 PART ONE - GENERAL
1.1 RELATED DOCUMENTS
A. Drawings and General provisions of the Contract including General and Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 Specification Sections apply to this Section.
1.2 WORK INCLUDED
A. Aldine Independent School District desires to complete the construction of the
Greenspoint elementary School ahead of schedule. The project is currently scheduled to be constructed in 330 days and be complete on June 17, 2016.
B. Aldine ISD is prepared to offer the General Contractor awarded the project a no-excuse early completion incentive bonus as an incentive to motivate the General Contractor to overcome and remove all obstacles to ensure that this project reaches Final Completion or ahead of schedule while not compromising the integrity and quality of the building. The obstacles to overcome include but not limited to governmental and municipal entities, utility providers, subcontractor performance, manpower, submittal process, RFI process, work schedule, schedule delays, weather delays, material delays, etc. Any and all project delays are the sole responsibility of the General Contractor. The maximum bonus is $200,000.00. This bonus will not be paid unless the project reaches final completion according to the bonus payment schedule in Part 4.
C. Refer to AIA Document A201, General Conditions of the Contract for Construction, paragraph 9.10 for the definition of “Final Completion.". Substantial Completion has no standing in determining the early completion bonus.
D. This incentive bonus is to motivate the General Contractor to overcome the
challenges that happens on every project. Any and all project delays are the sole responsibility of the general contractor. There will be no negotiations or adjustments to the bonus structure, nor the definition of “delay” or the responsibility of the “delay.”
E. The Project Completion Bonus will be awarded in accordance with the following
Payment Schedule.

ALLOWANCES 1 PART ONE - GENERAL

1.2 WORK INCLUDED
A. This section supplements paragraph 3.7 Allowance in the General Conditions of
the Contract for Construction and the Supplementary Conditions.
B. The Contractor shall include in his bid all allowances stated herein. C. Unexpended balance of allowance sums shall revert to the Owner in the final
settlement of the contract. D. At the completion of the Project the allowance amounts shall be reconciled and
a change order shall adjust the Contract Sum.

ACOUSTIC WALL PANELS
1 PART ONE - GENERAL
1.1 COORDINATION
A. Drawings and General provisions of the Contract including General and Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 Specification Sections apply to this Section.
1.2 SUMMARY
A. Furnish and install acoustical wall ceiling panels including fastening devices
and accessories.
1.3 SUBMITTALS
A. Reference Section 01330 Submittal Procedures.
B. Shop drawings to indicate wall panel fabrication and installation details, dimensions, configurations and wall elevations for mounting locations and spacing.
C. Product Data: Submit manufacturer’s product specifications including certified
laboratory test reports and other data as required to show compliance with these specifications.
D. Samples: Provide 12" x 12" samples of fabrics, acoustical/thermal insulation
and representative samples of mounting devices.
E. Certified Test Reports: 1. Submit test data from an independent testing agency, acceptable to
authorities having jurisdiction, evidencing that systems components comply with requirements indicated for fire performance characteristics.
2. Submit test data from independent testing agencies showing that system complies with the specified requirements for acoustical and thermal performance characteristics.
1.4 QUALITY ASSURANCE:
A. Fire Hazard Classification: UL tested, listed and labeled with flame spread
rating of 25 or less and a smoke developed rating of 65 or less, rated Class A per ASTM E84.
B. Installer Qualifications: The installation work of this Section shall be performed by an authorized installation dealer, licensed or franchised by the manufacturer, and certified as such.

C. Submit finish panel sample and swatches of fabrics for color selection.
1.5 PRODUCT DELIVERY, STORAGE & HANDLING
A. Coordinate schedule and installation sequence with work of other trades.
B. Do not deliver acoustical wall panels to the job site until the building is thoroughly dry and clean and air conditioning is continuously maintained.
C. Store materials in dry place and protect from weather, dust and other
construction activities.
D. Do not install when limited facilities will prevent quality performance of work.
E. Protect work from damage during and after installation until project acceptance.
1.6 MAINTENANCE
A. Extra Stock: Provide matching replacement stock of fabric amounts adequate to recover two full panels.

2.2 MATERIALS
A. Fabric Covered Acoustical Fiberglass Absorptive Wall Panels:
1. Core composition: 1 inch and 2 inches thick as indicated in the drawings, minimum 7 lb. /cubic foot fiberglass core with chemically resin hardened edges. Core shall be of 1-piece construction, inert, dimensionally stable and non-combustible. Shall be equal to Decoustics, Type AP Panel Construction.
2. Mounting Hardware: Shall consist of back-mounted panel Z clips spaced at maximum 2 feet o.c. spacing along vertical edges of panels which engage onto wall brackets mounted on horizontal wood furring strips. Provide leveling angle clips (2/panel) along base of panels; cover in matching fabric when panels are to be placed 5 feet A.F.F. or higher.

3 PART THREE - EXECUTION
3.1 INSPECTION
A. Make field measurement dimensions prior to fabrication to insure proper layout, panel sizes and fit.
3.2 INSTALLATION
A. Install acoustical wall panels in strict accordance with manufacturer's
recommendations indicated on the drawings.
B. Install complete, making all adjustments necessary for proper alignment shim between wall and clips as necessary.
C. Install panels plumb and straight, flush and in proper alignment; butt all joints
tight.
D. Coordinate and verify fabrication dimensions and panel cut-outs required by wall mounted fixtures, or other wall mounted devices.
3.3 CLEANING AND REPAIR
A. Remove all dirt and stains from panels prior to final acceptance.
