A Note from The Membership ChairmanTed Carpenter
We are doing fairly well on our membership goals, although we still neednew members signed up to help increase our members on the rolls. If you sponsor a new member between now and the end of the year, thenew member only has to pay a $10.00 enrollment fee making the total tojoin is $75.00.We had a great New Member Luncheon and Orientation on 11-14-15. Thenew members that were in attendance were very happy with the presenta-tion that our Governor and Senior Regent presented to them. The Womenof the Moose prepared a wonderful lunch, as they always do!! I don’t knowwhat this Lodge would do, without these wonderful Ladies!!Kathy and I will be going south in our RV to warmer climates but if anyquestion I can be reached by e-mail or cell phone at tkcar@sbcglobal.net orcell 209-471-0448Ted CarpenterMembership chairman
Wasn’t all that rain wonderfulthat came our way right beforeour November Work Day?Hope it keeps up and bringsthings back to normal. We hada few hardy workers show upto tackle things. Diane Freiergave the women’s storage areaa good cleaning and organiza-tion. Scott Freier, Bob Arnold,Karl Malmin Dan Leary andTed and Kathy Carpenter tookcare of the kitchen duties, checked out our emergencylights and put up the lights out-side on the walkway canopy. That sure looks nice. Thelawn was cut, fertilized and thewater sprinklers turned off forthe winter. Our next Work Day is an im-portant one and we can use allof the help we can get. De-cember Work Day also in-cludes decorating the lodgefor our Christmas Parties. So, come on down on Decem-ber 1 between 9am to noonand help us make the placelook jolly. We might evenhave some hot chocolate andcider to keep us warm. Thanks again to all of ourmembers who give their timenot only on our work days, butall year long. We have a won-derful lodge and I am so thank-ful of all of the work that getsdone.Jean Lestanguet

EBBETTS PASS MOOSE LODGE #1123YOUTH TO RECEIVE EAGLE SCOUT AWARD
Harrison William Misfeldt, 18, of Pleasanton Boy Scout Troop 948, beganhis scouting career as a Tiger Cub with Alisal Pack 901 and will be honoredat a special Eagle Scout ceremony at 5:00 p.m. on November 22, 2015, atCenterPoint Church. The public is invited to attend.Harrison first showed interest in his life’s passion; photography, theater, andfilmmaking when he saved his hard earned allowance to buy a camera at theage of 8. In addition to achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, Harrison’s accom-plishments include award winning photos at the Alameda County Fair, a leadrole in the Harvest Park Middle School Drama Class production of “SomeLike it Hot” in 2009, and a demanding position as sound technician forAmador/Foothill Theater productions 2012 - 2015.As a Class of 2015 senior at Amador Valley High School, Harrison directedand filmed 2 rival sports music videos for AVHS, created the Diversity film,“Windows and Mirrors,” for the PUSD, and led the tech committee that pro-duced commercials and a documentary for the Mr. Amador Fundraiser sup-porting the George Mark Children’s House, which raised over $27,000 thisyear. Harrison’s Eagle Project was also “film” related. He built a greenscreen studio and conference table in the AVHS Library for use by studentsand faculty.Harrison is currently working an Internship at the Spring Street Studios HDfor Pleasanton Councilmember, Jerry Pentin, and is relocating to Burbank,CA, to earn his Bachelor’s in Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy,Los Angeles Campus, after the holidays. Don’t be surprised if you one daysee Harrison’s name in the film credits as an accomplished Hollywood filmdirector! Congratulations, Harrison!
