Greek Gods, Goddesses, Myths and Heroes.By Eilish Dillon and Kyrah Mendes

Zeus: God of the sky, winds, clouds,rain, thunder and lightning.

Zeus was the chief god of greek mythology.

His Roman name was Jupiter.

Zeus had a wife named Hera

they loved each other.

One power that Zeus had was he could sound like anyone or look like anyone.

Zeus was important because he was the most powerful thing alive and he could do just about anything.

Zeus is famous today because he was the top

most known person in greek mythology.

Greek Myth: Meduse

Meduse was once a lovely young girl who had a boyfriend she loved very much.

One day Meduse's Boyfriend brought to a cave but the did not know it was a temple of the gods.

Athen (the goddess) was looking at Medeuse and her boyfriend kissing; Athen got mad.

Athen turned Medusa ugly, Athen gave her snakes for hair and an ugly face.

Greek Hero

Hercules= Roman name for the greatest hero of greek mythology.

Hercules is considered a hero for his heroic deeds he did. This includes him doing labors.

One day Hercules was driven mad by his mom Hera. Keep into consideration that hercules is very, very strong.

In a frenzy he killed his own 2 children, Doing this he had to perform tasks in a form of punishments.

These tasks he had to perform where called labors. And these labors were near to impossible to perform.

These labors included......

Hercules fighting a super lion, Tackling hydra, capturing the cernitian and much much more.

Where you see Hercules name today.

● There was a major Disney film "Hercules"● Hercules is known for his heroric deeds.

Greek God: Athene

Daughter of Zeus.

Athene was the goddesses of wisdom.

Athene is a powerful defender but also a willing peacemaker.

Stories say that Athena was born fully armed from the forehead of Zeus. According to one story this is because Zeus swallowed Athena's mother.

The people say that the city of Athens was named after her.

Why people remenber Athene:

● Her story is intersting● The city of Athens is named after her.

Greek God: AresGod of welfare and murder

Ares is the sole son of Zeus and Hera.

Both parents were not found of their irritable son.

If Ares had a little more love and neutering from both parents it probably would have resulted in Ares being the god of minor conflicts.

Ares is the God of war, His strength is that her is decisive, determined and fearless.

Ares had an affair with Aprodite; and was father to many children.

Ares is often portrayed as a vigorous and handsome young man.

Ares was not a well liked god or well trusted.

Greek Goddess: AphroditeThe goddess of beauty, love, pleasure and procreation.

Aphrodite had great power over love.

Aphrodite was apparently born in seafoam.

Aphrodite was in many affairs and had many children.

Some of her children where:

● Aeneas● Anteros● Beroe● Deimos● Deimos● Eros● Harmonia● Hermaphroditus● Herophilus● Himeros● Phobos

And she had many more children. :)

god.● She was in alot of affairs.

Greek God:Hephaestus God of fire and forge.

Hephaestus was the son of Zeus and Hera. Some say hera hated him and flung him over mount olympus into the sea breaking both his.

Hepheatus was the smith armour of the gods.

Hepheatus is known to be peaceful and loving.

Hephaestuts built thing for the gods atop og mouth Oylmpus.

Hephaetus is often an overlooked god, but the gods armory is very important.

Greek Hero: Oedipus

Oedipus was the hero of thebes.

Oedipus solved the riddle of the Sphynx.

It is like a miracle that Oedipus solved the riddle of the Sphynx.

This is because the riddell of the sphinx was very hard and when people ansewerd it wrong they died.

When he answered the question the Sphinx destroyed itself.

Oedipus married his mother.
