Fine figures - Grand Valley Lions Club had some fine figures in its float in Mike Cracknell and Jacqueline Habecha.

Still running - There were many old style farm implements and machinery in the Grand Valley Sesquicentennial parade, and they all looked great.

Double date? - This three some were part of the East Luther Historical Society entry in the Grand Valley Sesquicentennial parade over the July 2 weekend.

Remember when - (Left) There were several depictions of old time days in the classroom (despite school ending the previous week) in the Grand Valley parade.

Keeping the beat - OPP Constable Keith Robb is part of The Commissioner’s Own Pipes and Drums, which performed in Grand Valley on July 2.

Sesquicentennial? - Grand Valley celebrated 150 years on the July 1 weekend, but many floats also remembered the founding of Canada.

Air conditioning needed - In the old days, it was very hot in school in summer, and Saturday’s parade had this student wishing for something cool.

In fashion, then - These young ladies appear to be oblivious to the strong sun. The Grand Valley Sesquicentennial parade had great sunny, but hot weather.

Tough sledding - (Left) Women’s work was seldom done in pioneer days, as the clothes line and the old washing machine depict. Here, mom takes a well earned break.
