Know your left from your right.
Instructions: Imagine that your parents has to pick you up at your best friend’s house. They never been there before and they don’t believe in using a GPS or Google Maps.
Write out the directions and draw a map for your parents to take with them when they have to fetch you, using the correct terminology as in this PowerPoint
Keywords and extra information: Distance (e.g. continue on the road for 2km)
Direction: North, South, East and West
Landmarks: e.g. Shell garage at the robot.
At the roundabout (not circle)…
Identify the starting and finishing points.
Use useful prepositions like up, down, across and towards.
Keywords and extra information: Give the directions in logical order.
Use the simple present tense.
Make sure that each step includes one direction.
