This section of the school health program is accomplished through your health education subjects from grade 7 to fourth year. The major health content areas are provided by the (DepEd) Department of Education curriculum which is comprehensive, well-planned, and sequential, based on the health needs and interests of the school-age children like you and on what qualified health educator think good for you. The curriculum provides a well-planned learning experience to supply information, change attitudes, and influence behaviour which will later on result in individual’s responsibility for personal health.

This section involves the food preparation of school personnel. This entails the provision of nutritionally sound food programs for the school and the training of students in the selection of nutritious and well-balanced meals.

This aspect calls for the provision of programs that would assist or meet the needs of the students in terms of problem-solving, developing positive self-concept and self-responsibility for one’s action in relation to personal and community health.

The provision of a well-planned, sequential, and comprehensive physical education curriculum is mandated by our constitution to aid in the development of healthy citizens who will contribute greatly to the development of the nation. The PE program of every school must provide the necessary laboratory for the development, improvement, and maintenance of the health of the students while in school and its carry-over effect later in life for them to enjoy quality life.

This aspect includes the provision of programs for the benefit of the faculty and staff in the maintenance or improvement of their health in the workplace. This may help in the reduction of the health-care cost, increase in the productivity level and the development of high morale.

This aspect of the comprehensive school health program calls for the development of the collaborative efforts among the school, family, and community agencies in promoting the health of the students, faculty, staff, and the entire community where the school is situated.
