Final StandingsThe last rounds of the 2016 Fall leaguefound Team 6 as the winner with 23points. The Claybusters and 3 on8 were tied with 21. A shootoffunder the lights ended with theClaybusters winning. NicholasGodfrey won HOA with 446,followed by Michael Dennis with438. Most straights went to MikeGershcick with 10.

All should remember to thank KenFlippen for his organization andoutstanding meals and also tothank Glen Hughes for managing the stats and the scores.

Russ Flippin entered the Navy in September 1987,following recruit training and Aviation Machinisttraining he was assigned to Helicopter MineCountermeasures Squadron Fourteen (HM-14) flyingin the MH-53E Sea Dragon Helicopter.

In 1991 HM-14 embarked on the USS Tripoli forOperation Desert Storm, sweeping mines in thePersian Gulf.

In 1992 Russ joined VP-49, an Anti-Submarinesquadron, as a Flight Engineer flying in P-3 Orion’sand was deployed to Iceland.

In 1993 he was assigned to VQ-1 Squadron flyingout of Guam and Whidbey Island, WA. VQ-1 wasan Airborne Reconnaissance squadron, deployedeverywhere from Middle East to Japan.

So if you need to brush up on how to detect thingsunderwater, see Russ and thank him for his service.

The high scorers were Floyd Jester, second,scoring 272-5 "X", with a S&W M 617 .22revolver, shooting 2 handed and Jim Grabbe,winner, scoring 274-5 X"'s , with a WalthersGSP .22, shooting ONE handed.

We had 8 shooters this afternoon. It was getting dark when we shot the rapid fire strings, anddefinitely when we took pictures ~ 10 minutes later. So we're done with the "summer" bullseyesessions for this year, to re-open in March, 2017 when daylight savings time returns..We'll have the 900 total score bullseye match on the 3rd Saturdays @ 9 AM, and the .22Silhouette matches on the 4th Saturday thru the whole year.The shooters this afternoon were:
