DUBLIN 12 DISABILITIES GROUP The Dublin 12 Disabilities group are looking for new members, however, there are limited spaces available. The group has some carers and volunteers but we would request if a person looking to join has a carer that they attend with them.
The groups aims to allow disable people to socialise with coffee afternoon, games and day trips when volunteers are available.
The group is having an open day for new members on the 23rd May from 2pm to 4pm at Father Kit Court, Crumlin Village. Should a large number of people express an interest in joining there will be waiting list due to the limited spaces.

The Deep End - Love One Another ‘Love one another’ is the basic principle of Christianity, to love as
Jesus loved. It is simple, yet we can make it so complicated. Jesus’
love was controversial for some people, because it was love without
exclusion. To love as Jesus loved is to love those it is hard to love.
This love ultimately led to Jesus’ death. Jesus loved sinners, tax
collectors, prostitutes, people of other religions, the poor, the
unwanted, the sick, the beggar, the leper. This love is too much for
some Christians today also. It is hard to love the sinner or to love
family members or friends who have hurt us. Yet this is the love that
we are called to. Once we begin to accept that we are infinitely loved
by God, it is like a domino effect where that love is poured outwards
in our lives. We are part of this outpouring of God’s creative love and
are called to bring this into places where there is none. In this way
we are helping to heal, sustain and nourish this world.
Let us hear those words of the Gospel more clearly today: ‘Just as I
have loved you, you must also love one another. By this everyone
will know that you are my disciples.’ Let us dream of, and work
towards, a world where this is a reality.
‘God has given us the power to create beauty, to make another smile, to be a
healing presence in someone’s sorrow, to bring justice to the oppressed, to
console those in difficulty, to bring peace and joy to others, to help those in
need, to laugh and enjoy life, to do good and turn from evil, to forgive those
who have hurt us, and, most of all, to love.’ - Iris Perez

MINISTRY SUNDAY COLLECTION This weekend, 18/19 May, for the first time we are holding a new
collection which will be called the Ministry Sunday Collection.
This new annual collection will replace the Share Collection and will be devoted to support the building up of new forms of lay ministry in our parishes. The work of spreading the Gospel of Jesus in our changing religious culture will require more lay men and women working in various ways alongside our priests at the heart of parish
communities.
The Ministry Sunday Collection is about ensuring that we will have the people we need - men and women who will be to the fore in
making our parishes vibrant faith communities into the future.
While many of those involved will be volunteers, we will have to equip and train leaders and provide facilities for formation. We want to work towards a situation where all parishes in this Archdiocese benefit from their gifts and expertise. The new collection is one-step
in that process.
Our Recently Deceased Michael Roche, Kilmashogue Dr Kathleen Bathe, Dowland Rd Maura (Maureen) Meade, Inchicore Christy Clancy, Limekiln Drive Derek Healy, Beechfield Close
