Romans 1:1-2

Romans 1:16-17

I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. The gospel is good news because it reveals God’s LOVE for us.

God took the message of His love and WRAPPED it in flesh.

God’s love is not tied to your effort, but to the fact that He CREATED you.

Other religions focus on how do we achieve, the gospel how do we RECEIVE the gift of God.

The gospel is good news because God stepped into HISTORY

Our sin SEPARATES us from a holy God.

There are PROMISES of the gospel throughout the Old Testament (check out Isaiah 53)

God didn’t add something else for us to do, but came to us in PERSON to do what we could not.

The gospel is good news because it is for EVERYONE who responds in FAITH.

Obedience STEMS from faith, not faith from obedience.

The gospel is the POWER of God for salvation.

The word ‘BELIEVES’ is not merely intellectually agreeing to the facts, but placing our trust and confidence in Jesus.
