good things come in small packages

Are you on Instagram? If you are, you probably have seen a plethora of Cotton+Steel mini quilts popping up in your stream over the past few months. We definitely noticed and we were so thrilled to discover that it was because of a fabulous swap that had been organized and hosted by Sharon Breshaw (@modernstitchinmama)! The #cottonandsteelminiquiltswap!

Shannon, along with help from fellow IGer @shutterbugmal, put her organization and management skills to work. “We had signups and I had no idea what a huge response we would have to the idea of a C+S themed swap”, says Shannon. “I ended up having to close signups early at just over 600 participants from around the world! I was fortunate to have 12 other “swap mamas” to help me out. We each managed a team of about 50 swappers each.”

The designers of Cotton+Steel were so impressed with the swap that we reached out to Shannon and asked if we could create a lookbook about the event. In the following pages we highlight the overall winners of each of the 13 teams. Grab a cup of tea and get to know these lovely minis up close and personal!
