Good Morning,• Please have all supplies ready. Have your Readers Notebook and book on

your desk, with your binder for Readers Workshop.• Your assignment for Morning Meeting.• Every day new things happen to us and we don’t have time to share them.

Today is an exception. Write down one new thing about you that no one knows…or most people don’t know. It can be about your vacation.

• For example, my “secret” is that I am on a panel this week to talk to new teachers. Write down your “secret” on the note card and give it to Mrs. Biondi or Ms. Crea. Don’t write your name on the card. We will try to guess the secrets.

• Please write your name on the board if you don’t have a chance to do it for “Do Now” so you can do it for “recess”.

• Spring is coming soon. What is one thing that you look forward to in spring? Draw a picture of it on a note card and

• On the back of the card explain why it is important to you. You must write in complete sentences with an explanation. Put it in the basket on the rocking chair. We will be reading them during Morning Meeting.

Dear Spring Chickens,Spring is coming soon. What is one thing that you

look forward to in spring? Draw a picture of it on a note card and on the back of the card explain why it is important to you. You Must Write In Complete Sentences With An Explanation. Put it in the basket on the rocking chair. We will be reading them during Morning Meeting.

• Bring your Whiteboards and markers to Morning Meeting.

• Good Morning• Synonyms: Please write a synonym for one of

the words below. If all the spots are taken for the word you want, choose one of the other words.

Good Morning

• Two years ago, I finally got a Kindle. I did not want one for the longest time, but finally changed my mind. Write about something that you did not want and when you finally got it, you were glad. It could be a toy, food that you never tasted before-whatever you can think of.

• Write your answer in your Writers Notebook. – Write about why you didn’t want it– When and how you got it– What made you change your mind– How you feel about it now.
