How is our vision brought to life? What does the future
look like? What does He want to do? The following are
specific areas where we are praying for God to make us
fruitful.

For the Session 1. Hear clearly how God leads and that they would
faithfully follow
2. Pray that the Father would make them Christ-like.
3. Experience the peace of Christ, unity of the Holy
Spirit and love of the Father so Intown can reflect
God’s kingdom here on earth
4. Continued wisdom and unity about the financial
direction of the Church.
5. Protection and peace for the elders and their
families. Pray for their marriages and their ability
to love and lead their families well.
6. That the Nehemiah project would speak to the
leadership both individually and collectively about
the importance of reflecting His love with
intentionality and dependence.
7. Hear God’s direction on how to lean on one
another’s strengths and shore up one another’s
weaknesses in love.
8. Prepare, equip and strengthen the new officers
especially now as they start a new officer cycle.
9. Provide wisdom and opportunities for Intown to
be used as a resource church (loosely, a body that
supports [in different ways] other complementary
works God is doing and in which we can
participate/contribute)
10. Help them to see how God is working among us
and be encouraged by that.
11. Pray for wisdom and discernment as they train the
leadership candidates, in particular Jay Thompson
as he leads this task.

Pray for the teams as all work together to address these
vital areas of our church. Pray for clarity, patience, and
wisdom for all four teams. Pray for a roundtable
discussion at 5pm Sun, Aug 3 with leads of all four
committees.
Communication Team 1. Improve Intown’s messaging and use of
channels/media
2. Enable Intown to reach target demographics
3. Deepen the sense of connectedness
4. Develop comprehensive plan to guide communication

Small Groups 1. As we complete the Internal (Intown Church, our
past small group history, what has worked well,
what hasn’t worked as well) and External (trends,
what other evangelical churches are doing re: small
group ministry) assessments, that the Lord would
grant deep wisdom as we sift through the
information and that this last phase of the process to
go relatively quickly.
2. For the Lord to continue to direct our path, helping
us to use what information is helpful from our
assessments as we begin to form recommendations
for Intown’s small group ministry. For deep
understanding of Intown’s unique character and
what would work well in our particular community.
3. For unity of vision and team as we discuss the
above. The members are Tom Brinks and Jeanne
Fell as co-chairs, Sandy Brinks, Mike Breunig,

Garrett and Kristin Kuk, Teresa Maysilles, John

Children’s Ministry 1. Encouragement and sense of God’s calling for all of
those who lead our children--from SS teachers, to E6
leaders, to CW leaders, to Nursery volunteers. Pray
that they would feel God's pleasure as they selflessly
serve our children.
2. Fall SS – need 37 more teachers who will commit to
teach for the entire year.
3. Pray for the Children’s ministry team: Janet Eason,
Robin Lamb, Shane Coker, and for one new member.

new converts and to plant churches.
16. Pray that your missionaries would be protected from
discouragement and depression, and that they would
be joyfully faithful to their calling with an optimism
based on the purposes and promises of God—
persevering even (and especially) when progress is
minimal.
17. Pray for the National Church that is being established,
whether by our missionaries alone or in partnership
with national believers.
18. Pray for the training of strong, male, indigenous
leadership for the church, and for the willing transfer
of leadership at the appropriate time from the
missionaries to the national believers (this is
commonly known as indigenization).
19. Pray for missionaries to have a willingness to suffer.
20. Pray for more laborers for the ripe harvest fields of the
world.

individual group members and their continuing
spiritual growth.
2. Give thanks for the fellowship experienced by the
group. Pray for unity, harmony and lasting friendships
among the young people.
3. Pray for their witness to friends and family. Pray that
as others join the group, they will come to know
Christ themselves.
4. Ask God to help them know and understand what he
wants them to do with their lives. Pray for an
openness to serve God with their time and gifts.
5. Ask God to give them a deeper spiritual wisdom and
understanding. Pray for wisdom in resolving problems
and that they become more like Christ.
6. Ask God to help them honour and live for him,
continually doing good to others. Pray for the fruit of
the spirit in their lives
7. Pray for their families. Pray for compassion towards
others in spiritual or physical need.
8. Ask God to give them strength and endurance for their
Christian life. Pray for freedom against the pressure to
conform. Pray against evil influences.

Mercy Ministries 1. Night Shelter at Druid Hills Presbyterian Church
a. Intown serves dinner to the men in this
ministry on the first Saturday of each month
b. Volunteers: Need 3 – 20 for each Saturday,
pray that volunteers would come forward
c. Help volunteers come ready to talk, listen, and
show interest in residents
d. Residents be impacted and are successful to
make a new start both in their physical and
spiritual lives
e. Partner churches be unified and in agreement
on how best to serve these men
2. YoungLives – ministry to teenage moms
a. Intown members involved are Laurie Tubbs,
Julie Tuttle and Sarah Wise.
b. Funding
c. They have started meeting with teen moms at
Cross Keys High School and will start having
club this fall.
d. Pray for club needs such as location, food,
drivers, childcare, and program.
e. Pray for a team to start at Stone Mountain
High School as well.

3. Career Transition Ministry
a. Pray for wisdom for Rich von Biverstein and
Sarah Siedentoph
b. Pray for the nearly 225,000 unemployed in
metro Atlanta...we lag the country in job
growth. Pray that they would seek faith in this
stressful time. Jesus should be smack in the
middle of your job search. There are
thousands more that are miss-employed or
under-employed.
c. Currently 85% of attendees are non-ICC folks
and to-date have had slightly less than 100
attend for the first 6 months of 2014.
d. There have been more and more 1 on 1's with
ICC members this year about their job
situations (a praise!)
e. Many folks have landed new jobs this year (a
praise!)
f. Pray for the 4 back half meetings to close out
the year...all speakers are locked in. Pray that
whoever should be at these meetings find their
way to ICC.
4. Crossroads Crash Course Ministry
Interdenominational effort with partner churches to
provide training in how to find a new job – graduated
over 300 people since inception in 2010.
a. Pray for new members to join our team of 9
leaders...burnout is a concern.
b. Pray for new churches to host the Crossroads
"Crash Course" in 2014 and beyond. So far it
is down to 4 churches...ICC being one of the 4.
c. Pray for the graduates of the course in 2014...5
classes and around 85 graduates...many have
found new jobs!

d. Pray that the Lord be in the process with the
job seekers...many are non-believers...a few
are Jewish or Muslim.
e. Pray for an Interview Team to come
together...we need about 15 people to make
this work...we currently have about 8.
f. Biggest prayer is that our costs are increasing
(study guides, on-line assessments, etc.) and
we don't want to increase the nominal charge
for students.
Singles/Young Professionals 1. To be gospel-centered: Christ is our shepherd
2. New leadership - For a stable leader who is committed
to Young Professionals.
3. Hire a pastor in the long-term who is dedicated to this
demographic and can cultivate a young adult ministry
longer-term.
4. To be attractive to non-Christians and seekers, engage
the community - have an outward focus
5. Strong small group ministry - strong small group
leaders (plural)
6. Become active, engaged, contributing, and life-giving
to the church
7. Raise future leaders, send and support missionaries
from this group

Specific Congregational Needs These are only the ones we know of.
1. Dick Holifield – Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s
2. Lenne Nawyn – Father had kidney removed first week
of September and the doctors discovered cancer. Pray
for peace, healing, and faith in God’s provision right
now. The doctors feel that they have removed all of
the cancer but the type of cancer is fast-growing and
very likely to return.
3. Kevin and Tara Figgins – InterVarsity at Emory, pray
for ministry as they get started and protection from
spiritual warfare.
4. Children of covenant families not walking with the
Lord
