Give me my island home..........

David & Judy West Point, Magnetic Island

I've been around the island a couple of times or maybe more..........

I've seen the sights & had delights on many foreign shores..........

But when my friends all ask me, where's the place that I adore ???????

I'll tell them right away.........

Give me a home amongst the gum trees....

With lots of (burdekin) plum trees....

A curlew or two and a kangaroo.....

A clothesline out the back......

Verandah out the front .......

And an old squatters chair

You'll see me in the kitchen........

Cooking up a fish..........

Or some other dish ........like vegemite on toast....which TT likes the most....

Just you and me and a cup of tea........

Then later on we can go for a walk......

Or have a talk.......

About the birds.......the (native) bees & the butterflies...................

.....a shell or two .................

Or the koala in the tree...........

Or later on we'll settle down

Beside the thong tree.....

Just the neighbours and me......

And a drink or three........

To watch the West Point setting sun.......
