Getting

Back to

Normal

What’s Happening in June? •

•Sat., June 6 Ladies’ Scramble •Sat., June 13 Men's Two Man Scramble

•Wed., June 24 Men’s Member-Guest $25/guest, includes box lunch

Looking Ahead

•Sa/Su., Aug.1/2

•Sa/Su., Aug.8/9 1st & 2nd Weekend Men’s Club Championship

•Sa/Su., Aug. 22/23 Ladies’ Club Championship

•Sa/Su., Aug. 22/23 Men’s Senior Club Champ.

W hile things are getting back to normal both on

the golf course and in the clubhouse, we still

know the virus is out there and encourage

everyone to practice social distancing both on the course

and in the clubhouse. While it is understandable that

masks aren’t worn on the course (as long as social distanc-

ing is being observed), we would appreciate masks being

worn in the clubhouse. Wearing a mask is highly recom-

mended for the safety of our employees. If you do not

want to wear one, we may ask that you order your food

and beverage at the to-go window.

Friday Night Couples Golf and dinners are coming

back June 19! While the dinners accompany the golf

events, dinners are open to all members! Just let us know

if you will be coming and how many people will be with

you. Reservation times aren’t required, but it is helpful to

know how many people to plan for. This is a great way to

start the weekend. Couples Golf is always a scramble for-

mat and a fun, no-pressure, non-competitive event.

As you can see, Twin Lakes is getting a lot of new

members. Updated directories will be emailed soon as our

membership drive will slow down, and we will have the

most current directory.

From the Manager

I t’s been eight months since our overseeding of the fair-

ways, and I hope everyone is as pleased as I am so far!

They will continue to thicken up as time goes by, and

playability will improve also.

This month we plan to remove the contaminating sand out

of #16 green side bunker and replace with new clean sand!

This will eliminate the pea-sized gravel that ends up on that

green and will be a great improvement.

I’m getting more crew members now that summer is here

which will allow the grounds crew to accomplish more on a

daily basis.

Enjoy your summer, and come play your course!

Your superintendent,

I hope this reaches everyone in good health and spirits!

Hopefully you had a happy and safe Memorial Day

weekend with your family. I greatly appreciate every-

one’s patience with the weather we have been experiencing.

The last few weeks have been a struggle to keep up with the

mowing, especially the rough.

With the pandemic we are currently in, lots of events and

services have been pushed back. The dining room is open at

50% capacity and starting June 14th it will go to 75% capacity.

The patio is open, please try and keep your social distancing

on the patio. We have our full lunch menu available during

the week for lunch and will have the grill open outside on

weekends. Friday night couples will start Friday, June 19th.

We will start offering dinner on Fridays on June, 14th as well.

I appreciate everyone’s patience during this pandemic, we

want to keep all of you and our staff safe.

The golf course staff has done a great job keeping the

course in great shape. I am very happy with how re-seeding

of the fairways has come in. Please thank anyone on the staff

for all the hard work they do on your course. Every spring the

rough is thick and healthy; we mow the rough at the height of

2 1/2” all year long. Please do your part to help the staff out

by fixing ballmarks, replacing divots and using proper cart

etiquette.

I would like to welcome all of our new members to Twin

Lakes Golf Club and thank their sponsors for their support.

Please pass along our membership promotion to any potential

new members to ensure they take advantage of a great value.

Remember we are open for lunch Tuesday through Sunday.

As always, please let me know if I can be of any assistance

with anything. I look forward to seeing you out enjoying your

club!

Demo Day

Our demo day will be Wednesday June 17th starting at

3:30 p.m. Callaway and Ping will both be here and have

required you all to make appointments in order to get fit-

ted. They have advertised no walk ups will be allowed to

hit clubs but we wanted to mentioned to you that Seth will

have a separate booth out there and will be doing fittings

for walkups in both Callaway and Ping products. His

range capacity will be limited and will only be able to fit

two players at a time. Come out and check out some of

the new products offered by both companies!!!

Junior Golf

We will be starting Junior Golf here soon, please stay

posted with us as there will be some changes to this

year’s Junior Golf program. Because of the late start and

the condensed tournament schedule we will not be doing

weekly Wednesday morning Junior Golf. Instead this year

will be 3-4 day Camps that will take place a couple of

times throughout the summer. The Golf Shop is still work-

ing out the details so please stay posted!
