• Miner & Miner – ArcFM & ArcFM Viewer & Custom Tools

• Pictometry – Electronic Field Study (EFS) • Tiburon – CAD 911 Geoprocessing• The Omega Group – CrimeView & FireView• Group One – Remote Access (Link for CAD Calls to

GIS data, Building/Site Preplans and Pictometry)• SDS – Parcel Analyst• CDARE - Custom Collision Diagramming Extension

Enterprise Geodatabase• Centralized location for spatial data• Use of enterprise database in Web

applications• Efficient access to data thru joining spatial

data with tabular data• Easy to link to other RDBMS databases in

the County– Property Tax system– Permit database– Enterprise Resource Planning

• County-wide seamless layers– Allows for large area analysis– Not limited within a tile structure

Stormwater Utility

• Ordinance adopted to create utility• Contracted an experienced consulting firm• Fee added to Property Tax bill• Initially applied to unincorporated

properties• 1 city joined utility since inception• Impervious surfaces defined as part of

ordinance

• Based on Planimetrics and Parcel GIS layers

• Parcels joined with Assessor’s database for billing

• Both datasets required adjustments to ensure complete match

• Export provided to Tax Commissioner for billing

Stormwater Utility Process

Start with aerial photos

Add impervious areas

Merge with parcels

Stormwater Utility Customer Service

• Impervious area map added to GIS Data Browser public website

• Citizens can lookup the bill amount and area for their property

• Customer service center setup for first billing cycle

GIS Data Browser• Internet [public] and Intranet [login

required]• Application architecture:

– ArcSDE 9.1 and Oracle 9i– ArcIMS 9.1– Orion OnPoint

– Web-GIS– Built on and uses ArcIMS– Customized for County– Orion Products used:

– Professional– InstaMAP– Pictometry Extension

Benefits of Web-GIS• Web-based application is easier to learn and deploy.• No need to visit each desk to install• Available to any county computer with a Web

browser.• Customized content, functionality, and appearance

for each department• All layers available on site- user don’t need to know

paths to data.• Increases GIS usage

Functional and Flexible• Over 100 layers available• Can search by:

– Address– Street/Intersection– Parcel Number– City– Landlot

• Can find facilities:– Survey Monuments– Schools– Parks– Bus Routes– Fire Stations– Subdivisions– Hospitals– Fire & Police Stations– Truck Routes
