LONG-TERM GOALS

To enable the students to comprehend the text as comprehension is a consuming

continuous and a complex activity but one that, for good readers, can be both

satisfying and productive.

SHORT-TERM GOALS

To come out of the stereotype teaching methods. Start thinking out of the box. To enhance language skills. Usage of proper tenses. Fluency of language and intonation. Vocabulary enrichment. Proper pronunciation.

Learning objectivesIn this unit, they will learn about the

features of a non-fiction text , and how to make notes and use them to write about a festival they already know well.

They will also be using a dictionary and other authentic materials in class.
