Principal’s News
Finally we are at the end of a very disruptive (thanks to COVID 19) Term 2. The good news is that the children have settled back to school quite well. Sadly there was a few tears from some of the littlies in the second week of their return. Thankfully they have now bounced back and school is very much back to normal routines for all chil-dren. Classes are operating normally. We will commence whole school parades again in week 2 of term 3. Par-ents and carers will need to socially distance during the parade. We really appreciate your patience during these times!
The Director General has confirmed these operating guidelines for all schools and they will apply from the start of term 3:
Unwell students must not attend school (the school must ask parents to collect children if they are unwell) Please ensure your phone is on and charged, ready for the possibility of a call. Your support is neces-sary to keep everyone well.
Regular handwashing and hand sanitising, particularly before and after eating or going to the toilet
Physical distancing for adults who do need to come on to the school grounds
Increased cleaning of classrooms, touch points and water bubblers will continue (children are encouraged to bring their own water bottle)
Regular cleaning of playground equipment will continue
Physical distancing guidelines:
Restricting of adult (including visitors and parents) access to school grounds
Minimising adult access to the office environment
Make contact by phone or email where possible
Shared student equipment:
Hand hygiene-regular handwashing and hand sanitising before and after use of equipment
Cleaning of equipment before and after use
NAIDOC celebrations will be held on 17 July. Parents are invited to the NAIDOC lunch, but unfortunately will not be able to go into classrooms due to the lack of space for social distancing. At lunch, social distancing rules will apply.
The Athletics Carnival will be held on 30 July. Parents are invited to attend the carnival, however social distancing rules will apply.
Finally, a huge thank you to Nanna Di who made sure that the children had Tuckshop as soon as possible following the lifting of COVID 19 restrictions. I know that the children really appreciate all that she does to make our school a great place to be. Thank you!!
Kind regards,
Kathy King
Principal.

Please discuss this focus rule with your children. It is important that they are the
