Ganguro (ganguro - literally "black face") - a special Japanese youth subculture that originated in the 90th year of the last century. The peak of the popularity of this culture occurred in 2000, but young people "ganguro" often can be seen today on the streets of Tokyo, especially in the areas of Shibuya (Shibuya) and Ikebukuro (Ikebukuro).

Western way of thinking, that is positive, while consumer attitude to life. Japanese conservatives criticize ganguro for excessive materialism, believing that a measure of spiritual impoverishment of the Japanese youth.
