Annual General Meeting of the Ecobian network gather to discuss school’s War Memorial Stone in memory of fallen

during World War 2 ; 70 odd years ago.

There is a fear that the memorial stone might be lost if given to site developers .

The Ecobian Association is welcomed by Chairman

Ian Malcom.

Last year’s Ecobian AGM minutes written

by Ian Murray are accepted

unanimously

The treasurer’s report by Richard Fenton is accepted unanimously.

Ealing College Upper school ECUS building has been demolished by developers.

None of the larger school artefacts are saved by the developers for preservation by the Ecobians.

Hopefully some large wooden panels bearing school honours might have been recycled usefully

The memorial, bearing the names of boys who gave their lives during the world war, is saved and there is considerable discussion by those present about where

the memorial stone should rest in the future.

There is a fear that the memorial stone might be lost if given to site developers .

Brian Martin, Peter Bevan and David Bennigton are helping with the search for a resting place.

Brian Martin has been researching places for portraits and memories to be archived. The Ealing Library could store the remaining artefacts but not display

them

25 present remember the

70 odd years ago

The dinner went pleasantly and Ian Malcom regaled the Morris brothers. Conversations at dinner brought laughter and tears .

Encourage young school leavers to join their old school networks . Not just to have a good time but to hear and learn from old hands unpublished

history, opinions ,ideas; and for them to learn to share their own new wisdom and culture with those old

hands.

Old friends reunited.

Peter Bevan, Roy Davey, Richard Peet, Richard Pushman hope that the Ecobian network will not

disappear quickly and that new goals will challenge the Association
