Dirt bikes are not permitted to be driven in the
town of Balgonie. They are disturbing local
residents in our community , and as per our Traffic
and Noise bylaws they are not to be used inside
town limits. Thank-you for respecting your
neighbors

There have been numerous complaints about pet owners not being
responsible with their pets. It is not just dogs who are not permitted to be at
large, but cats also. They cause havoc in neighbour’s gardens and flower
beds. If your pet is picked up by our staff, it will be taken to the
Humane Society. If you have registered your dog with the Town, we are able
to bring it back to your home, or at least contact you. There are many that
have not been registered with us. Licences are $10/yearly, and there are fines
for not having them licenced, at large, and not cleaning up after them. Please
ensure that you are picking up after your pets. Leaving your dog outside
barking violates the Noise Bylaw. Please be respectful of those around you.
If you have any questions regarding the bylaws, please contact our office.
Thank you.

use the card. The transfer station cards can be cancelled at the discretion of the Council
of the Town of Balgonie.
