Summer vacation is synonymous with
fun, frolic, getting up late in the
morning, playing for longer hours with
friends, going for picnics, exploring new places
and watching fun filled shows on television. But,
there is a lot more you can do to make your
vacation more interesting,
meaningful, full of fun while
still doing all your favourite things.
Here is a “Summer Vacation Activity Treasure
Box” just for you. So, get ready with your treasure hunt with your
parents.
Do remember some golden rules for the holidays.
Reading Time : Ask your parents or grandparents to read out a
simple story to you each day. Keep a record of the same by
making free hand drawings in your scrap book.
Exercise Time: “A Healthy Mind Lives in a Healthy Body”.
Go cycling, skating, swimming, play hide n’ seek …… anything that
will make you run and exercise. Go for nature walks with your
family.
Talking Time : Remember the 4 magic words! PLEASE,
THANK YOU, SORRY and EXCUSE ME. Please converse in English
with your family to cultivate good speaking skills.
Play Time : The Summer afternoons are hot. So, it’s better to
stay inside the house and play BOARD GAMES with your siblings
e.g. Chess, Ludo, Carrom Board, Bingo, etc.
Sleep Time: Take adequate sleep and don’t forget to go to bed
on time.
Learning time:
1. Learn to button your shirt.
2. Learn to put on your socks and shoes and tie your shoe
laces.
3. Do not waste food, drink lots of water and play outside.
4. .Switch off the lights, fans, A.C., T.V. and all other electrical
gadgets when not in use.
Work Time: Fix your timetable and devote your time to
complete your Holidays Homework neatly.
Selfie Time: Most Important, Don’t forget to get yourself
clicked and share all your memories with us.

Family Time:
OBJECTIVE: To develop family bonding
Click pictures with your family members during
holidays and share the same with us when you join the school.
Art And Craft:
OBJECTIVE: To enhance fine motor skills ,creative thinking and recap of shapes
Create your own shape collage. You can make different pictures using shapes.
Reinforcement of Strokes
OBJECTIVE: To revisit and revise the strokes: Standing Line, Sleeping Line &
Slanting Line.
Do free hand drawing using all the three strokes.
For e.g. you can make a ladder, rains, a kite or even a fence
Decorate your “HOLIDAY HOMEWORK FOLDER”
(stick stones, bindi’s, shapes, stickers or anything you like!! )
Some of the decorative items are enclosed.
Your folder should have a picture of all the above fun activities,
you did in your summer vacations.
