WHAT ARE ENDORSEMENTS?

• Endorsements are pathways of

related courses grouped

together by interest.

• Endorsements provide

students with in-depth

knowledge of a particular

subject area.

Distinguished Level of

Achievement (DLA)

Crosby High School students will earn the DLA by

successfully completing:

• (4) credits in math, including Algebra II

• (4) credits in science

• At least (1) endorsement requirement

• All remaining curriculum requirements

**A student must earn the DLA to be eligible for the top

10% automatic admission.

WHAT IS DUAL CREDIT?

Dual Credit is the process by which a

high school student enrolls in a college

course and receives simultaneous credit

for the course from the college and the

high school.

Dual Credit Summer school is offered at Lee College

Courses will be posted in April

TUITION – Lee College

$125 per course per semester plus the cost of books.This is a discounted rate for dual credit courses. It is typically $1000 for general students (out of district).

Incoming 10th GRADE

STEPS TO DUAL CREDIT1. Complete a paper dual request form and turn in to Next Level Center – Due Feb 11 to NLC2. Complete a Lee College application

February 12th or 19th at 7:30 am at CHS3. Take the TSI qualifying test

All students must pass TSI test to enroll in dual credit courses

Passing your courses

• Students must earn a “C” or better in

their courses in order to continue in

the dual enrollment program.

Modified Early College Academy

• Start JUNIOR year

• Must have completed Algebra 2 Pre-AP

• Earn an associate’s degree and high

school diploma at the same time.

• Classes are taken on SJC North campus• Transportation is provided to/from CHS

• Any courses taken prior to junior year will

transfer into the MECA program

• Tuition paid by CISD

• Students are responsible for textbooks and class
