Children add question words to speech bubbles to complete questions – on the IWB, a worksheet, in their books, using mini cards or class flashcards, via a game, e.g. pass the parcel.

– Encourage the children to create actions for various classroom objects, then play Jacques a dit.

– Play a team game where one child from each team brings the teacher an object: donnez-moi… [un crayon]. If you want to award points for the fastest team, it might be best to go outside or to the hall so the children can run!

• Some French adjectives (such as colours) come after the noun.

Extend the children’s writing skills by giving them word banks of French adjectives and getting them to write / adapt sentences.
